Gentledog buddies: YODA, THE JEDI DOG

Gentledog buddies: YODA, THE JEDI DOG

We are already in June and we want to present you to YODA, a beautiful mixed dog with a short overcoming history.

Vanessa wanted to adopt a puppy and a friend of her gave her the contact of a girl named Maria Desirée Ruiz, who helped abandoned dogs.

Thanks of her, they met Yoda. It was a crush at first sight, because he was a puppy of only 2 months old, plump, tan and playful.

They quickly decided to go looking for him, but it turned out that the puppy was not located in any shelter or temporal family, but was in the Kennel in the city of Cieza (Murcia- Spain).

What was her surprise when she arrived at the kennel and they showed the puppy … She could not believe he was the same dog she had seen in the photos, but they confirmed that he was the same dog.

Yoda was severely malnourished, he was flammer, dirty, infested with ticks and as they discovered later, with an intestinal infection by a bacterium that would surely have been infected in the kennel.

Vanessa felt she could not leave him there in those conditions because he would probably die soon and thought: May the force be with you, little Yoda. And she took him home.

After washing, wormed and with his vaccines up to date, Yoda looked like another dog, he only needed to get fat. He still had to wait until the medical treatment against the intestinal bacteria, made its effect to be completely healthy.

Currently he is 4 months old and he is a happy dog, caring, loved and like any puppy, very restless and playful. Although he accepts the caresses and affection of anyone, he still shows a little distrust and shows it with fear, but never with aggressiveness. He likes to play with other dogs and is very affectionate with children.

On this occasion, The Force has been with Yoda and had a happy ending. Among all of us, we should give an opportunity to so many Jedi who are still awaiting the arrival of the Force in their lives … And unfortunately many of them, under no ideal conditions.

You can see how many Jedi are waiting for you in any animal aid association in your city. They are a protector who takes care of and cares for their “tenants”, seeking a temporary welcome or a final adoption.
